I'm a psychotherapist and Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor dedicated to supporting parents, families, children, adolescents, and young adults. My areas of specialization include attachment issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, family conflict, and co-parenting. I have successfully helped children struggling with behavioral challenges at home and in school, adolescents navigating peer and family relationship difficulties, and families undergoing stressful transitions.

In addition to providing child and family therapy, I offer practical parent coaching on topics such as co-parenting strategies, managing family conflicts, navigating tantrums, gaining cooperation from children, addressing sleep difficulties, resolving school-refusal behaviors, managing screen time, and handling separation anxiety.

My clients describe me as approachable, funny, direct, and reassuring. My therapeutic style is collaborative, integrating evidence-based approaches like Child-Centered Play Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to create effective and personalized treatment plans.

About Me

I'm a a board approved Supervisor in private practice since 2012. I was a staff therapist at The Austin Child Guidance Center, from 2009-2016.  In the past I've worked for Communities in Schools (CIS) providing therapy for teens relocated after Hurricane Katrina; LifeWorks co-facilitating groups and treating individuals and families; Austin Children’s Shelter coordinating activities; and CASA of Travis County as a Guardian Ad Litem. I've also provided intensive wilderness therapy at the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center and for the Minnesota  Department of Corrections.  I received my MA in Professional Counseling from Texas State University and my BS degree in RTF (film production) from The University of Texas at Austin.

I'm the mother of two children, whom I stayed home with for 1043 long days (3 very short years). When I'm not in session or spending time with my family, I'm usually enjoying music, traveling, podcasts, movies, hiking, books, swimming, scuba diving, and enjoying the local comedy scene.

Insurance and Fees

I am an out-of-network provider for most major insurance plans, which means that I do not file a claim against your insurance directly, but you may file on your own behalf.  I will provide you with a receipt and any necessary supporting documents, which you can forward to your carrier.  You will then receive a check for the portion of my fee that is paid by your plan.  If you have out-of-network benefits, this amount will vary from approximately 40% to 70% depending on your specific plan.  Any additional information released to your carrier will be by your written authorization only.

My fees range depending on the length of sessions (50-90 mins) starting at $200. For clients involved in active litigation my rate is $250 for 50 mins.
